1. Are sensitive teeth a common problem?
Sensitivity is one of the most common problems expressed to dentists. Close to 40% of all adults occasionally suffer from one or more sensitive teeth.

2. Should I use Sensodyne even if I only have occasional pains with sensitive teeth?
Sensodyne has been formulated to provide the total care of an everyday toothpaste, while preventing the pain or discomfort of sensitivity. Results from a recent survey showed people who only occasionally brushed with Sensodyne experienced 40% more pain than people who used Sensodyne regularly over the 24 weeks of the survey. Ongoing brushing with Sensodyne can also help prevent the return of sensitivity.

3. Is sensitivity a sign of old age?
Sensitive teeth are felt by people of all ages. In fact, with more young people eating snack foods and drinking acidic soft drinks, there is an increasing number of younger age groups with sensitive teeth.

4. Will the pain or discomfort of sensitive teeth return when I stop using Sensodyne?
The return of pain will depend on the individual and whether their tooth dentine is exposed. In a recent survey, 25% of Sensodyne users reported that pain returned within a week of stopping brushing with Sensodyne. A further 30% said pain returned within a month of stopping.

5. Are Sensodyne products tested on animals?
No.
